The History of Xemplified;

October 2008 [X-Men]
  • Wolverine and Rogue discover each other in Alaska. The pair are ambushed by Magneto's Brotherhood on the highway, but are saved by Storm and Cyclops. The pair are taken to Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning.
  • Wolverine meets Jean Grey and is formally introduced to Storm and Cyclops. Xavier invites him to join the X-Men.
November 2008 [X-Men]
  • Rogue and Iceman become involved with each other.
  • An "incident" occurs between Rogue and Wolverine that leaves the young woman distraught and the pair injured. Mystique maneuvers onto the campus and tricks the girl into leaving the Institute.
December 2008 [X-Men]
  • Rogue is captured by the Brotherhood and held prisoner while Magneto fine-tunes his mechanism.
  • An attempt to make visiting UN Officials into artificial mutants is made by Magneto at the Statue of Liberty, but this attempt is halted by the X-Men. Toad and Sabertooth are presumed dead. Mystique escapes. Magneto is captured.
  • Wolverine leaves Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning to find himself again. He travels to Alkali Lake in Canada.

March 2009 [X-Men II: X-Men United]
  • An unidentified mutant attacks the President at The White House. This incident was reported to the press as a mutant attack. Press reported it to the public as anywhere from a "minor scrape" to a "very close call."
  • Magneto's prison, though on high alert, does not up its security measures as no one actually knows where he is being held.
April 2009 [X-Men II: X-Men United]
  • Magneto is broken out of his plastic prison by Mystique, but not before Stryker pulls sensitive information about Xavier's Institute out of him.
  • Xavier students take a field trip to the museum and an altercation ensues that is remedied by Professor Xavier.
  • Wolverine returns to The Xavier Institute.
May 2009 [X-Men II: X-Men United]
  • Storm and Jean Grey go out on a mission to track a runaway mutant. The pair meets Nightcrawler and hear his story.
  • The Xavier Institute is invaded by William Stryker and his men while the X-Men are all scattered on assignment. Many of the students are taken into illegal custody. Little to no reports are made in the media about the incident.
  • Wolverine escapes in Cyclops' car with Rogue, Iceman, and Pyro. The group heads to Iceman's home where his brother, Ronny, calls the police after finding out that his brother is actually a mutant. Pyro attacks the humans, a direct contradiction of Xavier's principles, so they can escape. The group leaves in The Blackbird when Storm and Jean arrive with Nightcrawler.
  • The X-Men and The Brotherhood join together to face Stryker and stop his plan to destroy all the mutants using stolen Cerebro specifications (Dark Cerebro).
  • The Alkali Lake incident occurs: Charles Xavier dies; Jean Grey dies; Stryker dies; Pyro joins the Brotherhood.
June 2009 [X-Men II: X-Men United]
  • The X-men pay a visit to the President of the United States. Cyclops, with the help of the rest of the X-Men, presents him with information on what Stryker was doing.
  • Professor Xavier and Jean Grey's funerals at the X-Mansion.
  • Shortly after presenting the information to the President, Cyclops leaves Xavier's Institute in order to separate himself from the tragic events from his past.

September 2009 [Xemplified]
  • After the reading of Charles Xavier's will, Storm is selected as the new headmistress of The Xavier Institute. Xavier's will specifically stated that, in the event of his death, the school should not be closed. He wanted it to be expanded to try to help even more mutant children and young adults. She is hurried into the position of headmistress and reorganizes some of the facilities with the loss of Grey, Summers, and Xavier.
April 2010 [Xemplified]
  • Final interviews for new professors are completed. Four are chosen to join the current staff.
  • A team of junior X-Men are chosen: Robert "Iceman" Drake, Marie "Rogue" D'Ancanto, Piotr "Colossus" Rasputin, and Katherine "Shadowcat" Pryde. They are the beginnings of a new idea: a separate group of X-Men working below the adult team in order to train them to replace them as time goes on.
  • Magneto's Brotherhood goes into hiding and Magneto begins building a mutant "haven" in Genosha. His terrorist activities cease for the time being.
September 2010 [Xemplified]
  • Due to the complex training regimen of the junior team of X-Men, Iceman and Shadowcat grow closer while Rogue and Iceman's relationship begins to disintegrate. This incident begins a period of discord in the close-knit team and discussions begin about splitting the the team.
November 2010 [Xemplified]
  • Storm is put into contact with Emma Frost by Xavier's executor and the two begin discussions about recruiting Frost into the school.
January 2011 [Xemplified]
  • Frost agrees to assist Storm with the Institute (both financially and as a professor) but only if construction of a new wing of the institute begins in New York City. Emma's connections within the city allow for massive amounts of money and resources to be donated to the schools via mutant supporting millionaires (The Hellfire Club).
  • New mutant professors are recruited with Frost's help and the Institute's original campus is overhauled to include even more high tech resources which include new intercom systems and many other fun gadgets.
  • The Brotherhood is still considered to be neutralized, but Pyro is actively recruiting for that faction in the U.S.
May 2011 [Xemplified]
  • Arrangements are made with NYU to start offering college courses through The Xavier Institute. This allows for students who are near graduation to stay close to Xavier's longer and allows these older students to work even more on their power control.
  • Doctor Henry McCoy steps down from his position as the Secretary of Mutant Affairs. He tells the press that it is for "personal and family reasons," but no one knows for sure exactly why except for McCoy. He eventually joins the Institute at the insistence of Frost and Storm. It is rumored he received a personal mail from Xavier's estate after the will was read.
July 2011 [Xemplified]
  • Construction of a second, smaller, campus begins within New York City. This campus, when finished, is to be overseen by Emma Frost, allowing her to remain in the city at least four days per week.
  • The professors decide that the original and "reserve" X-Men teams will be stationed at the original campus of Xavier's Institutes, but a second set of "reserve" students will be trained at the NYC campus in the event that they are needed. This decision is pushed hard by Frost, but makes sense due to the attack on the original campus by Stryker's team.
August 2011 [Xemplified]
  • The junior X-Men team is finally split and new recruits are chosen. The two teams are to be trained on the original campus until the secondary Xavier Institute campus is completed. Completion is slated for August 2012.
  • New classes begin with new professors. Everything seems to be back to a semi-normal state of affairs at the Institute.
September to December 2011 [Xemplified]
  • More mutants from all over the country are solicited by the staff of the Institute to join. Adults are accepted as well as children and teens. New faces are found on campus and new buildings are built to house them.
  • The Institute receives an overwhelming list of transfers for the Spring 2012 semester. This is the most in the history of the school. Frost's push for a second campus is justified by the sudden rise in enrollment.
  • The government becomes interested in the sudden rise of enrollment, but this is quashed by a presidential order and the words of Robert Kelly. (No one yet knows that he is still Mystique in disguise.)
January 2012 [Xemplified]
  • Xemplified begins with the Spring 2012 semester for the Xavier Institute.
